DynoMax Super Turbo Muffler

5.10.20

Installed

The old muffler had holes everywhere and a terrible drone over 45mph, so I replaced it with a DynoMax Super Turbo Muffler and a pre-bent eBay special U-tube, cut and welded to desired fitment. The name sounds way cooler then I think it should, but maybe once I remove the second set of cats, I'll get a little more sound out of it. As it is with all four cats in place, it's too quite for my liking.

U-tube and U-bolts

2.25" U-tube.

2.25" stainless steel U-bolts.

Hangers

Hangers were purchased off of eBay, and I just removed from the bracket, and bent to shape around the muffler. I was able to use the old hanger location and it held in place better when bent as pictured. See first picture for it installed.

Parts List

Total Cost = $160

Dynomax Suprt Turbo Muffler 17741

$75

On the quiet side.

Nice sound with no drone, but I would like a little more noise

Exhaust Hangers

$15

You can get a little more clearance for additional lift

2.25" Stainless U Clamp

$31

If your old cam bolts are rusted in place and need to be cut off in order to replace the UCA's, these should do the trick.

2.25" U Pipe

$39

Cut and welded for the bends that I needed to get over the axle.

2.25" Wicked Flow Kamikaze Muffler

$100

On the louder side.

From what I've heard, this is probably more what I'm looking for and will be a future purchase.

2.25" Magnaflow Muffler

$123

Not too quiet, but not loud enough.

Had this muffler on my first Frontier, and it's a little louder than the Dynomax but I'd still like a little louder. It sounded nice and did not have a drone.
