Speaker Replacement

As the speakers age, the glue on the speaker cone starts to fall apart, so this is not an uncommon issue on trucks this old, such as the 1st Gen Frontier.

My passenger speaker was vibrating loudly while playing music, so I replaced it with another speaker from a Frontier at the local U-Pull-It. Before purchasing, I confirmed that the cone was properly glued to the housing, unlike the speaker pictured above.

A door trim removal tool was used to separate the door panel from the door easily. You don't need to remove the whole panel if you have a stubby phillips head screwdriver to reach in and swap out the speaker screws.
